Do you watch tennis?

I used to in the dark ages. Due to circumstances beyond my power and will I watched the women's finals last night while I was dozing - it started in the middle of the night here. Well, I have never seen so much tennis drama in my entire life, all in one match. Serena Williams went somewhat berserk and became very emotional. I do not know if she does that regularly? Sometimes, male players argue with the umpire. Women usually behave a bit more. At least, that is the way it used to be.

Anyhow, the outburst and rage of Serena overshadowed the victory of her opponent, Naomi Osaka. That young girl was better and she deserved to win; she kept her cool throughout the mathc. It is such a pity her first grand slam title came to her in such a way. I was crying myself as I watched the award ceremony. Naomi even apologized for defeating the crowd's favorite. Can you imagine?

I watched it too, all the way from down under. It really upset me as well. I thought Serena was pretty out of line, to be honest. It all round wasn't a great look for America/Americans.

Serena Williams loses her temper in a very high stakes, high pressure match and you judge Americans for that??

Judge the fools that voted Donald Trump into office.  Please!  Judge the Americans that cannot or will not kick him to the curb.  Perspective.

Whether it's fair or not, Serena represents not only herself but her country when she steps out onto the court. She's been around a long time now, and has had plenty of success, she should know better than to act like that. She came across like a spoilt brat.

It also wasn't a good look for America due to the incessant booing that young Naomi Osaka copped from the American crowd.

I honestly judge America pretty harshly these days. The nation is crying out for some leadership at the moment. It seems like such a chaotic place to live. I saw you had another shooting the other day as well. Such a tragedy. Really puts some Tennis match into perspective, honestly.

It's a very big country.  Shootings happen too often to make the news much anymore but - as I said - it's a big country.

Where I live it's pretty quiet.  I can't recall anyone getting shot in many years.

Remember - non shootings don't make the news.
