I was watching Turner Classic Movies waiting for The Hustler and saw this bowling short film called Strikes and Spares 1934.  I read that it's fairly well known.  Then I see a man lining up his shot, only to see that he's aiming between the legs of lined up women.

I found this - watch at 1:34 and you'll see what I mean.  Did the Coen Brothers ever see it?  Dunno, but it was fun to see.

Oh Yeah.  I'd say the Coen Brothers saw this.
It is fun to watch.

Ok, in this very same day.  I was never harassed in any way as a young pin girl in 1977.  My dad took me to the back of the lanes to show me what the men were doing.  My dad "let" me set  the pins one time.  And, that was enough to let all the guys that worked for him to know he gave birth to a daughter.  And, if anyone touched me he would beat the crap outta them.

So, Gardner, I agree with you.  Let's just get back to the Bowling Alley.  I have Three Lifetimes to write.....
