Beautiful pics, Hag, I can live vicariously though you.

I know the feet thing well. When I was in New York with Lisa, I needed a BANDAID! BADLY!!! Finally came to a drugstore and got a box, and that was after buying a new pair of shoes --- and my feet sill ached.

Then we were somewhere (ToysRus I think) and a child was crying because his feet hurt. I immediately came to the rescue, offering a golden bandaid. His mom was most grateful.

So, back to Prague. Love the medieval feel (Just finished Game of Thrones, after all) the cobblestone streets, the elaborate church, the old buildings, the statues. Lots and lots of them. Who is that strange looking fellow who's about to take a tumble into the water? He looks like a troll who should be under a bridge. Very cool (I like strange stuff).

And what is the story of the yellow penguins, Hag?

Breakfast with veggies - did they just pour in last nights leftovers?

Are the people friendly?

It looks like a beautiful city with lots to do. Makes me want to go somewhere . . .

Thanks again for the vivid account and great pictures, Helen. Glory, that place looks old as the hills, and very scenic and cultured and atmospheric. They're "80 percent atheist"--that's interesting, I hadn't known that. Thanks to you, I feel almost like I've been there myself.

Talking of Game of Thrones, look at my trip to the Sahara and we stopped at a place called Ksar Ait Ben Haddou where it is also filmed, along with other movies.  The penguins are made of plastic bottles and the link I put up tells their tale.  Along with the strange fellow sitting over the river.  The people were friendly and yes, you should go somewhere.  We are off to Vienna in September and then Chicago for Thanksgiving.  Nothing planned meantime (I'm banned but I still look ;-)  ) but who knows what might pop up.  We are actually trying to plan a big trip next March/April/May time with 4 friends of doing Route 66!  We are discussing hiring a vehicle and driving.  Taking turns as it's a long drive lol.  Will keep you posted of any progress with that.  It will be exhausting but thrilling I'm sure.
