I do not care for Dicaprio. I find him overrated and miscast generally.  I've never been able to watch much of The Beach. But I thought he did a good job in The Aviator and Catch Me If You Can.

So you saw that beach in real life, Quailbird? Was it as beautiful as in the movie?

It is the second time I watched The Beach. The first time I stopped watching and the second time I started watching because there was not anything else on TV (except soccer). The video game scene made me laugh. Hahaha.

I can take him or leave him but usually leave him.  I too liked Catch Me If You can tho and one or 2 others he's been in.  I can't remember the one where he plays the FBI agent in the penal colony.  That was interesting and I've watched that a couple of times when it's been on.  The Beach is one I turned off.  Same with Titanic.  That is pretty bad and I dislike the use of the tragedy for such a pathetic storey to be told.  Can't abide Celine Dion's voice either so double whammy (now for the comeback and shock at that lol).

I did not see the movie THE BEACH, but THAT beach in real life is wonderful.
They closed the beach for a few months so the marine life could recover.

Thailand's Maya Bay, made famous by the film "The Beach", will close to visitors for four months from June to allow its coral reefs to recover from rising temperatures and the environmental impact of thousands of visitors each day.

Speaking of weird Leo DeCaprio movies, did any you of ever see Inception?  Phil couldn't handle it!  I would say that i would like to watch that once a year and maybe after twelve times I might understand it.
