BRILLIANT! just loved it from start to finish. We all know Freddie Mercury and this film, if accurate, confirms what we always loved about him. But the relationship between all four of them is joyous and a pleasure to experience. Even their niggles with each other was never going to break the bond. It's definitely one to see. I'm also glad it ended where it did. On a very high.

It's garnering such raves I plan to see it tonight ! I'll love the rockabilly type numbers, "Crazy Little Thing Called Love," etc., the best. I like it that Freddie was mad about cats. He's quite an interesting, original and vivid character, I realized that reading Mikhal Gilmore's Rolling Stone article about him. I was never all that much into Queen, but this flick is getting major Oscar buzz... and I loved Rami Malek as a quirky Egyptian statue come to life in the fun "Night at the Museum" movies, so it's cool he stars in this, as British rock icon Freddie Mercury. Helen Haggiebaby makes it sound like a real feel good movie! The Internet seems wild about it.

Thanks for the review, Hag.

I've read different reviews about this one, so I like Hag's take. Besides, critics --- what do they know?

They agree that the music is fantastic (how can it not be - it's all Queen, and the actors lip-sync), but that the story itself can't decide whether it's focussing on Freddie or Queen. They say it could have had a lot more on Freddie's life and shenanigans but the members of Queen vetoed that. They showed some things, but could have shown a lot more. A matter of opinion, though.

But all agree that the actors are magnificent and do a great job.

Let us know what you think, Susie.

Not sure if I will see this one or not. I've seen lots of documentaries on Freddie, and I think I would prefer to watch the real thing. I'll wait to watch it when I can stream it, but I'm like that about most things.

What did you think of it Susy?  My cousin went to see it on Friday and loved it too and thought it was spot on.  Go to see it Chells, I really think it's worth the ticket.  As for critics reviews, I never read them.  I think it's all subjective.  I mean Gaga possible Oscar win!  To me that a joke.  But hey that's just my opinion.  Obviously others love it.  I mean, La La Land received rave reviews and critical acclaim.  I didn't get past the first 10 minutes before switching off.

We saw The Greatest Showman last night. We were all three underwhelmed. I'd like to see Bohemian Rhapsody, especially after your review, Haggie. We recently saw the new Johnny English movie - funny but not as good as the first two.
