wow...very high praise from the 'l.a. times'  for jeff. the reviewer kenneth turan seems to have forgotten what a hoot clooney was in 'o brother where art thou' when he opines a zany screwball genre isn't clooney's forte. he also says 'goats' doesn't have much of a story or plot, but i thought it does. 'us' magazine loved the movie (and bridges in particular) giving it three stars, while an 'entertainment weekly' film critic missed the aesthetic and cultural and entertainment boat big time, bestowing an 'F' (boo).
'entertainmentweekly' also gave 'o brother where art thou' a coen brothers film, an F, it failed to recognize that film's worth. the coens based it on homer's greek classic of antiquity 'the illiad and the odyssey.' |
