  Its bucketing it down with rain outside and yet quite a few people are letting their fire works off ... you cant tell me its not going to put out quite a lot of the lovely glittery sparkles that come down with the rockets
Id personally wait until it was not raining

I remember a few years ago going to the display with friends in Dartford Central Park it was chucking it down (we only went because Christie was on duty with St Johns Ambulance) and the fireworks still went off, we then went home and had our own firework display................in the rain  |

It looks like we might get Hurricane Ida which is going out into the Gulf. I am so scare of Gulf Hurricanes because they go out over the warm waters of the Gulf and have plenty of time to build up. Hopefully though,this may be just a rain maker. It's been very cool here so that will stop it from getting too big.....I hope. Here it is the end of the Hurricane season and this thing shows up.

They turned out to be a damp squib then  We had some on Thursday night. It was a very cold but clear night. The girl enjoyed our little display. but if it were raining, I'd have left them until a night that was more suitable.
There are still fireworks going off tonight. I suppose people waited for the weekend to make a night of it. I'm always glad when it's well and truly over. It gets tiresome hearing all those bangs constantly for weeks. Hopefully tonight will be the last of it.

Well, we went to my Sisters tonight, they let of some fireworks ... not a drop of rain in sight  ... I dont know, is it me or are fireworks no where near as colourul and explosive as they were when we were kids
My parents could never afford them, but i used to look out of my bedroom window in to the neighbours garden and watch their display .. i probably got a better veiw than they did 
Miss Janie i see i got the five bum salute again ... what are we going to do with you madam
