Reply with quote | #1 | Yesterday, 100 days prior to a major international climate change conference to be held in Copenhagen, a fun happening took place on the beach of my hometown: The Big Ask Again. By getting the population together to "dance for the climate", The Big Ask Again expresses the people's concern about climate change and is an appeal to political leaders to ACT.
Last year, The Big Ask gathered 6,000 people on the beach of Oostende for the making of a short movie directed by Nic Balthazar. The idea behind The Big Ask Again was to gather 10,000 people and to film a Bollywood-style dance performance. Anyone could join. So I went to the beach yesterday and took part in the shooting of the video clip. It will be available on the web mid November. U2 has supported the event by allowing the organizers to use the song "Magnificent" in the video. Approximately 12,000 people had gathered on the beach. We had to learn a choreography and then perform it. We had to drop dead, jump up, scream, do our little dance,.... all together! It took some four hours to get the job done. I had a great time and look forward to seeing the result.
