Jeff,

I came across a recent video clip where you expressed your concern over what your "name" will be for your grandchild. In the eyes of a grandchild, an endearing name to have indeed! "dude-pa" is cool of course, could easily be pronounced "doo-pah", at least for a while, which i would embrace in a heartbeat if it came from my grandchild. Also for your consideration, thought of "papa dude" again, could become "pah-pah doo" which i think is equally honorable, not to compete in any way with Papa Doo Run Run- (laugh).

My better half is called "Mimi" and  i'm called "Pipi",  after her grandparents. We have five grandkids.

regards-
terated

I've often wondered if I ever had a father or was it my imagination leading me to that notion.. supposedly he was in the coast guard stationed in Detroit and my mother met him there or possibly in Alpena, Michigan. Eventually he proposed to her but she took a bus back from Alpena to Detroit where he was stationed and turned him down, giving back the ring. Another man had pledged his undying devotion, pleading with her to marry, back in 1953-1954, an exciting time but also confusing for someone so young on her own, little did she know that he was an alcoholic, eventually divorcing a single mother with three kids at the age of 21. I can relate to many things in your past, in front and behind the camera, I've admired your work for many years and consider you a friend, although we've never met. I realize some things viewed in my life are similar but are in no way nothing more than coincidence here but wanted to say I think you are a great person and wish you and yours the best and continued success.
Regards,
Your friend, terated

Dear Nicky,
I was sitting on Wonderwoman's rope again or too much truth serum in my coffee today...
"Either way" (one of my favorite songs), the previous note was intended for Jeff, sorry.

Ted Givens
- say hello to Jeff for me
Thanks!

All great notes, Ted. Would you like me to send them directly to Jeff and delete them from here? Or direct him here to read them? Or..?

Congratulations on your grandchildren, Pipi!

Thank you for responding, Nicky!
if you don't mind, sure you could forward to him, that'd be nice. I don't know why but I just have felt all along, a sense of belonging in my brief and infrequent communications with this website.. I guess the thoughts of embracing new ideas and keeping an open mind and simply being receptive to change and having a platform for many different people to express themselves, etc I find very refreshing in contrast to others things in my life and our world in general it seems.
In other words, I think Jeff's website is cool and he's doing positive, inspirational, meaningful things with it. I'd like to shake your hand someday.. no, I think a hug instead
Kudos, dude!
Your friend, Ted
