I read it does people good to take a "vacation" from social media, LOL.

This is the only social media I take part in. I don't have any Facespace, tweeting, or whatever else is out there. People were a lot more interesting before the internet. I don't always drink beer either.

Part of my vine garden. It is honeysuckle, ivy, silver lace, trumpet vine, and wisteria. The trellis is built out of those cages from fertilizer bins and electrical conduit that was laying around with some chicken wire wrapped around. Hard to get the scale of it in a picture.

Relative to the topic that was hard work that was enjoyable. There was nothing growing back there before and some of the worst ground. There was a 65 Chrysler Imperial parked there that had been sitting there from 1979. I got it running and sold it. There was also a cool old building that had skylights but unfortunately one of the skylights broke letting the rain in making it unsafe. It was built like an old grain elevator with overlapping boards. I built all kinds of things with the boards. Under all the vines the octagon shaped base is river rock from an ancient river bed, agates, jasper, petrified wood, and all kinds of other rocks collected from different areas in Eastern Washington and Oregon. Some Ellenaburg blue hidden in the mix and some other gem stones. Anyhow probably an epic waste of time and effort but it makes me happy to go out and look at stars on a clear night or watch the various birds that have made a home in there. In different areas I also have various flower gardens, herb gardens, vegetable garden, and all kinds of trees that I got as little starts. Plenty of berries, grape vines, and things to snack on throughout the growing season. Not to bad for an area that is mostly dry grasslands and sagebrush. Last year here going to move somewhere else next year and start all over. Someone else will get to enjoy my little oasis, hopefully they will enjoy gardening as much as I do. It was a lot of hard work that I didn't get paid for but it made me feel like I accomplished something. The next people will probably tear everything out and complain about how much work it is.
