Thank you. My mom painted it for me. She felt bored and was in need of a bit of activity. She first had to degrease it and then sanded it. Next she applied a primer and then three layers of paint on top. The cabinet is very small - we have a lot of paint left..., even though we bought the smallest quantities possible.

Has anybody else here rejuvenated old furniture?

I loved seeing parts of your abodes, Hula Gal Martini and Kasey--not too shabby ! Quite the opposite, and it makes me feel good knowing you have nice places like that. That's such a cute pic of you Martini, gleefully smiling with delight, I just now saw that. And I love how you fixed up that piece of furniture, well, your mother did? Did she design that paint scheme too or was it your idea?  Very artistic. A bit Art Deco. You sure live in a fancy European beach resort town that Marvin Gaye loved. Lucky. And Kasey lives in London (sigh). I'm stuck now in a little Southern U.S.A. town that's kind of like Mayberry, but it's the only place I own a house (that my mother left me and where I grew up). I don't have a house anywhere else. I decided I'll go away on my own on a mini-Jack Kerouac sometime, take a bus to a big city sometime and stay a week or so, to get out of this little town and county. My aunt invited me to visit  her in Winston-Salem for awhile. It's a fairly big city in N.C. That's the first place I'll go. I'm thinking about Savannah, Ga., one of my old stomping grounds, after that.
I'll need to clean up my house better before I exhibit it here, LOL, but it would be fun to show various areas I decorated myself.

Those bunnies are not made of chocolate. As a matter of fact I do not have any chocolate in the house at the moment.

The color scheme was my idea. Originally I had planned one color more, but I abandoned the idea because the cabinet is so small.
A Town That Is Kind Of Like Mayberry 😉 Interesting. You can always show pictures BEFORE and AFTER cleaning, Pinkie!!!

Pinkie, I've been getting the Southern Living magazine recently and it's making me yearn for a trip to your part of the world! Don't worry, you won't need to start frantically cleaning... I'm always yearning and rarely moving, sadly. I need a bit more Haggie-blood to get me going. 😉
