We have a hard life on the West Side of Chicago.  I live in Oak Park.  We see everything,  We HOPE for Life. EVERY DAY!  Please PRAY for us and ALL OF THE WEST SIDE OF CHICAGO!

Thanks for looking into my life today.  It's nothing big or memorable for you.  But, the fact that i'm punching letters onto a screen, is a pretty big deal for an alzheimer's caregiver.  So I made a few mistakes now,  who cares, at least I'm breathing on the end of these fingertips.......

I've never been to Chicago so I don't know what any side of it is like.
What is the west like like?

Alzheimers, huh?  Such a terrible disease.  I think it's much worse for the caregiver than for the person who is sick.
You have my sympathy.  You will make it through.  You know there is no other way than to do what you have to do.
It's nice of you to reach out.  Please keep doing so.

Hi again, Carol. Yes, I agree with Ali - feel free to write here and know that we are listening. I was a caregiver for a man with dementia for a few years. I was lucky that he didn't become aggressive. I'm not sure how I would've managed if he had. I'm so sorry that you're dealing with this and I hope you have people around you to support you. One organization that helped me was the Alzheimers Association. They gave me advice and resources including a day care where I knew my friend would be safe and I could have a few hours not worrying.
