Congratulations on your basketball team winning the cup! I'm not knitting anything at the moment but I have a ton of wool and too many patterns. My last sweater was such a disaster it put me off for a long time.

Thank you, it is our fourth cup in a row. In total the team has won 17 cups, a national record.

Do you have a picture of the sweater you were trying to knit? Do you knit other stuff? Where do you get your patterns and models, Nicky?

I always try to choose "simple" patterns and I always end up in trouble, telling myself I will never knit again [mad][rolleyes][bawl]. Each time I start something new I tell myself "it is going to be purrrrrfect this time!" Unfortunately, it never is. My current perfect sweater is beginning to turn into a crusade. The stripes look great, but I have a problem with the position of the little holes I have to make - I will not give up though! As a matter of fact, I fear I have to tell you I have ordered yarns for even more frustration and tougher crusades [frown][smiley-gen136][smiley-gen135].

I have chosen different (bright) colors for the first three models. Two of them will be yellow, since my basketball team has yellow outfits - it is my intention to wear the stuff when I go see the games.

However, when I look at the above I cannot help but wondering about my sanity. What on Earth had taken possession of my head when I ordered the yarns? First of all, I do not need these sweaters. Secondly, I will probably never be able to finish any of them. The first one with the short sleeves will be hell, because the knitting stitch is rather peculiar (in my opinion).

Pfff, I ought to take lessons, but I cannot because I have irregular working schedules. I have already bought a knitting manual and consult YouTube sometimes. My mother started knitting when she was 5, and is really good at it; I am 53 [biggrin].

No worries, I will keep it yellow and continue until I win. Come on, Nicky. You do the same [wave].

Do we have knitting gentlemen aboard?

Aaah, waiting for the postman. He can deliver my new dream yarn anytime today. It is alpaca superlight soft pink and raspberry. The color combination in the photo was sold out. When I finish this sweater, I will look like a sweet, angelic newborn baby girl [angel][love]. You will want to hug, cuddle and pamper me till the end of times.

My sweater is almost finished. The soft blue cables I posted before turned into something slightly different [rofl]. My sister told me I knit my sweaters a bit tight (that is not true - I keep on expanding). Anyhow, I knitted BIG this time. I fear my latest project can accommodate an elephant.

No problem, I already have a new knitting dream. This time I will do it right!
