Jeff's good friend and previous neighbor, Alan Kozlowski, has a photo show in Santa Barbara. This is a video of when Jeff visited the show. If you can't see it please let me know so I can find another way to share it.

Just a stream of consciousness deal, but I have a Ravi Shankar story. Back in the early 1970s, I went to an outdoor concert in the middle of this cow pasture up by Stillwater, OK. I'd been sitting in the sun for about six hours, not a hint of shade to be had. I'd stripped down to bare feet and just a pair of bell bottom jeans. I was in my early twenties with hair down to my tookus and mutton chop sideburns. I guess I was looking pretty funky with the sunburn and whatnot.

The stage was literally in the middle of this bare pasture, not even a road or cow path leading up to it. I see a big limo creeping across the field. Being a friendly sort of redneck, I walk over, cup my hands around my face and plant against  the darkly tinted back window to see what I can see. There was Ravi Shankar, looking very apprehensive in the back seat, as if the long haired red necks were arising to turn over his limo and make him eat barbecue. That did not happen. Ravi played a wonderful show as the sun set, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

But I still fondly remember the time I scared the bejesus out of Ravi Shankar.

Mooi! I like the pictures of his travels.

An odd place though. So many dark rooms and corners. So how much do these pictures cost?
