I always do everything in my power to procrastinate my cleaning chores, like going online and posting here [rofl]. Anybody else in the same situation?

But I did it ya know. I cleaned the whole house! I have achieved!

I hear ya Martini, the dirt is just so gross and icky and I just can't bring myself to touch it right away sometimes when I see something horrible, but procrastinate, when actually it would be much better to just go ahead and plunge in, grit your teeth and clean up the mess as quickly as possible and make the horror vanish !! It's great exercise too and rewarding as heck when you see the finished product of shining cleanliness and tidy and neatness and organized and clutter free and all that good stuff, no germs (till the nasty little devils accumulate again) !

I hate cleaning too, that's why I don't do it lol   ONLY JOKING.  My house is clean and tidy but it's not my favourite pastime and I'd rather get a cleaner in to do it.  But having said that, I'm not OCD but I like things done to my standards (which is hard for others) and do the finger along the mantle to check for dust.  It annoys the hell out of the girl and hubby when they are helping but if it has to be done I like it to be DONE.  The girl has a 'that'll do' attitude to cleaning and it's not acceptable lol  Especially in the bathroom area.  Wiping round with a cloth is not cleaning!  Am I right or am I right?

Martine, that looks like me But they forgot afternoon nap, play with animals, and surf on computer, which is exactly what I'm doing now, instead of cleaning. I hate cleaning too, but it's much better with music on. Sometimes I get so into the music that I forget about how much I actually hate the cleaning. Now that's progress.

I'm going to clean today... it's been a bit too long since the last time. [eek]  I need to be listening to a podcast or an audio book to pass the time. I'm running a book group at our local bookstore and trying to keep up with reading the books in time for the meeting... [frown] If I listen to music I end up singing or dancing and it distracts me from getting anything done. [rolleyes] As for keeping up with your standards, Haggie... I probably couldn't. I think if I'm going to do it then it needs to be done right but that puts me off starting and I have to remind myself that (for me) it's better to do it a bit than not at all. So, have I put this off long enough?! The book is Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl. Wish me luck!
