I didn't think I'd like 'cause it's about a meth lab runner, but it's garnered so many kudos I suppose I'm out of it (again) in thinking I wouldn't like it.
Amy Shumer's upcoming 2018 comedy sounds very promising, about a gal who sustains a very hard knock on the noggin and then thinks she's overwhelmingly beautiful, and prances around acting like she's really all that, to the bewilderment of some (LOL), seems an amusing premise. And Rebel Wilson's new comedy filming now with Liam Hemsworth "Isn't It Romantic" I saw some stills from that, can't wait to see that either.
I think you were brave to see "It" !!

Hi Pinkie,

I don't think IT was that scary, to be honest. It was entertaining, and some of it was corny, (some scary) but it is story-telling at its best, and that's why I love SK so much. Also the kids in it were excellent. The clown, though, meh.

The mountain movie with Kate Winslet and Idris Elba turned out to be a wonderful adventure love story, a bit harrowing but with a happy ending and very well acted by the two leads. I'm sure they loved it they had so much screen time, were the main actors. They deserved it.
I suggest you see "Celebration" on DVD or through netflix streaming--a foreign film from Denmark or Sweden that reminded me of Ingmar Bergman's "suffering" films, but less artsy.
The big family had gathered for the patriarch's birthday at a lovely country hotel in the woods, a three day celebration.  And at every lunch or dinner, one of his sons (who had just lost his twin sister to suicide) would make a toast that got more and more descriptive and hair raising, about his father (the birthday boy) repeatedly raping him and his twin sister as children. At first the extended family didn't seem to believe him but sat there shocked and stunned. This was intriguing and interesting--the head chef heard the man's toasts, and instructed the kitchen workers to go into the rooms and take and hide the car keys of each occupant, so they couldn't leave without facing and resolving the issue. At one point the young man was even tied to a tree so he couldn't disrupt the proceedings any more with his astounding horrible claims. But he was released, to make a final scathing totally damning "toast." Everyone believed him, and told the father he was banned from ever being with his family or any other relatives, ever again and threw him out. His wife refused to leave with him. The depth of sufferings and anguish revealed was profound. "Celebration" is an unforgettable movie that really stays with you. Makes quite an impression.

"The Other Side of the Mountain" with Winslet and Elba also co-stars Beau Bridges in a small but vivid role which makes an impression, for sure.

Pinkie "The Mountain Between Us" is the name of the movie but it's interesting that you said "The Other Side of the Mountain".

I remember that a very young Beau Bridges starred in a movie of that name way back in the day.  I loved that movie.

I'm sure you can look it up on IMDB.
